Sapta Puri (सप्त-पुरी)
Sapta Puri (सप्त-पुरी) or Moksha Puri (मोक्ष-पुरी) refers to the seven sacred cities in Hinduism that are considered extremely holy tirthas (pilgrimage sites). These cities are believed to grant moksha (मोक्ष) — liberation from the cycle of birth, death, and rebirth (samsara) — to those who visit them, perform rituals there, or especially die in them.
