“tad viddhi pranipatena” verse is mentioned in Bhagavat Gita 4.34
Sri Krishna give the answer to the question, that how can one obtain spiritual knowledge?
Sri Krishna mentions that this can be done by approaching a spiritual guru, rendering service to him and than asking questions from him.

तद्विद्धि प्रणिपातेन परिप्रश्नेन सेवया !
उपदेक्ष्यन्ति ते ज्ञानं ज्ञानिनस्तत्त्वदर्शिन: !!
Hindi Meaning
उस ज्ञान को जानो, दंडवत प्रणाम करने से, सेवा करने से और प्रश्न करने से ! तत्व को जानने वाले, वे ज्ञानीजन तुम्हें दिव्य ज्ञान प्रदान करेगे !
English Meaning
Learn the Truth by approaching a spiritual guru. Bow in front of him, serve him and Inquire from him. You will get the knowledge from those enlightened Saint because they know the Truth.
