Three Gates to Hell
Arjuna has asked Lord Krishna in Bhagavata Gita 3.36 – केन प्रयुक्तोऽयं पापं चरति पूरुषः ( by whose motivation this man commit sins ? )
Later in Bhagavata Gita 16.21, Lord Krishna explained to Arjuna about three gates which leads one’s self to hell or causes the downfall.
त्रिविधं नरकस्येदं द्वारं नाशनमात्मन: !!
काम: क्रोधस्तथा लोभस्तस्मादेतत्त्रयं त्यजेत् !!
Hindi Meaning
काम, क्रोध और लोभ ये आत्मनाश के तीन द्वार हैं, इसलिए इन तीनों को त्याग देना चाहिए ।
English Meaning
Lust , anger and greed are three gates which leads one-self to the hell. Therefore, one should abandon all three.
