What basis the sequence of Radha-Krishna (राधा-कृष्ण) is arrived?
As per Sanskrit grammar, there is sutra in द्वन्द्व समास (Copulative Compound)
The Sanskrit sutra called as अल्पाच्तरम् 2.2.34– means that word consisting of a smaller number of syllables (than another) should be placed first.
Because of this sutra these words are formed – शिव-केश्व, राधा-कृष्ण, शिव-पार्वती, नल-दमयन्ती, लक्ष्मी-नारायण (smaller word are placed first than the bigger word)
In this sutra there is another vartik called as भ्रातुर्ज्यायसः (वार्तिकम्) – which means in case of brothers the above mentioned rule doesn’t apply.
example युधिष्ठिरार्जुनौ – here the name are placed based on there age or their seniority
