Why Vishnu is called Jitamanyu (जितमन्युः)?
The word मन्युः means “Anger”
जितमन्युः – जितः मन्यु: येन स: (बहुव्रीहि समास)
As mentioned by Adi Shankaracharya in the Commentary of Vishnu Sahasranamam verse 113
मन्युः क्रोधो जितो येन स जितमन्युः
– The one who has win over his anger is called as Jitamanya
